Our Program:

  • Picking Our Parents

Because we are dedicated to producing happy and healthy puppies, we begin by genetic marker and health testing our parents. Our health screening also includes OFA testing for all joints, cardiology and ophthalmology clearances.

  • Puppy Curriculum

Once our puppies are born, they are provided with a structured curriculum in a safe and loving home environment. This allows our puppies to be nurtured and exposed to the world, as they acclimate with special attention and devotion. We begin on day 3 of their newborn lives with Early Neurologic Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI). Structure and enrichment starts at the beginning of their lives.

  • What is ENS & ESI?

ENS provides puppies with a stronger heart beat, heart rate, stronger adrenal glands, more stress tolerance, and a greater resistance to diseases.

ESI provides puppies with greater scent detection, reaction, and identification. This benefits puppies for future service, hunting, or family activities.

Following the curriculum prepares the puppies to gain the confidence in new situations and experiences to lead a happy and well socialized life.

  • Temperament Testing

Temperament testing begins at 6 weeks old. These procedures are crucial in helping families find their best match for family pets, therapy dogs, or service animals. Starting at 6 weeks, we record observations that build a more complete picture about the puppies. This information helps guide clients as they choose their next best friend. Some qualities include tender hearted, assertive, confidence, touch tolerance, sound and sight sensitivity, energy level, human focused, and nerve resilience. All of this information will help you choose the best fit for your family.

  • Adoption Process

    1. Go to our “Contact Us” page and fill out the form to let us know you are interested in adopting.

    3. Pick your puppy at 6 weeks old. Come visit the Deutsch Hund Haus or schedule a Facetime visit if an in person visit is not doable.

    4. Each litter has a list of families in order of reservation, which will also determine the order you pick your puppy.

  • Furever Home!

Pick up your new best friend! Arrangements will be made for a date and time to pick up your pup. If you are unable to pick up your puppy on the date, individual arrangements will be made well in advance for change of date, extended stay boarding, delivery and/or shipping options. Families will receive a health guaranteed puppy, vaccinated and dewormed before going home.
